Dr Michael Schultz is a leading ophthalmologist and founding director of the Eye & Laser Institute in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha), South Africa. With over three decades of experience in eye care, Dr Schultz is dedicated to providing advanced, compassionate, and comprehensive ophthalmic services.
After earning his medical degree from the University of Stellenbosch in 1986, Dr Schultz specialized in ophthalmology at the University of the Free State. He went on to work as a full-time consultant at the Universitas and National Hospitals in Bloemfontein before establishing his private practice in Port Elizabeth in 1994.
Maintaining a high level of expertise and keeping abreast with new innovations in eye care, Dr Schultz is a member of the Ophthalmological Society of South Africa and the Southern African Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He is also a founding member of the South African Glaucoma Society and regularly attends national and international academic meetings.
